I got called in to HR yest afternoon and to make a long story short, I have to go " back in the seat". Since work is so slow, they asked several that were operators to go back to it. Some were demoted b/c they were boneheads, but that is another story. So getting to the point, I have two weeks until I have to turn in my company truck, and then Big D will be pressed into daily service. No more garage kept crap, time to make the donuts. I'm still a lil' hung over from celebrating. My wife thinks I'm nuts, she's never seen anyone happy about a demotion. But I'm calling it a PROMOTION! No more paperwork, less headaches, life's good! So keep an eye out for her bellowing down the road!
Thanks Bismic! I'm going back to something I missed doing, although I got to run some equiptment during the slow winter months, I'll be back to it full time now! I really missed running the "iron". When I got called into the office from the field yest, I was worried I'd be losing my job. Nobody I know ever came out of HR meetings as happy as I did yest! I told them I'm just thankful to have a job right now! And the wifey just got a job also, starts next Fri. so things are looking up!
Great news about your wife getting the job Tim. Best of luck in your job as well. I'm like you and just glad to be working right now with the way things are. Best part of yours is like you said, it gets you back to doing something you liked anyways. Kudos!
