new exhaust
I still have to get the down pipe and outlet from ats before I start.
I finally posted the pics from the second install of a '99 and up exhaust system on a older model truck. The first one we did was my dads 93 factory turbo and he loves it. This is my sisters 92 N/A. She says she has noticed a little better fuel economy and more up hill pulling power (ie: she says she didn't slow down as much when taking a hill with her horse trailer). That's good enough for me. She also likes the deeper rumble of the exhaust note. It doesn't make it any louder just deeper. I thought about the fact that all '99 and up people are scraping these exhaust systems and why would they be any good for our older trucks, and I came to the conclusion that the newer trucks are running much higher boost and therefore are moving much more air volume so I though these would work fine for us. Maybe I'm wrong but it is an improvment for sure and if nothing else you can cut out the muffler, straight pipe it and have a 3.5in exhaust for real cheap. The pics are in my signature, but I posted all the pics in the reverse order so if you are planning on trying this start at the bottom. Let me know what you think or ask me any questions you might have.
