I will have my cell phone down there, so if you want to meet up, give me a jingle. perhaps we could all go out for lunch afterwards? unless you have other plans that is.
We went for part of the parade, but left after our daughter and grandson came by with the dogs from Pott county rescue group. I missed Maddie. Was she with the group with all the younger girls?
Swede, are you around. I am going to try to make it out to Tuttle tomorrow and wheel for a while with Curtis. I have a couple of honey do's to do first thing in the morning. I'll have a couple of open seats.
Here are the few pics that we did manage to get taken. Too bad that the batteries went dead (and the fact that we forgot a couple times), otherwise we would have snapped some better shots.
We had a good day of wheeling and a little carnage. Once I started up a rock and instead of going forward I went straight sideways right into a tree into the passenger side door, and then later after crawling up Denise Butts Hill, I started to hear a click, click, click. coming from the front axle and found a broken U joint. I didn't see much damage to the axle at the time, but I was back by the pipe, so decided I should at least get it to the parking lot so that it wouldn't get stripped while I was gone. I then decided.. well I got it this far, so why not on into Randolph..
I think that might have been a wrong decision now, but I felt better having it sit on the streets of Randolph, than abandon in the park out of watchful eyes.
I got a ride back from Justin and Jamie, then Del and I pulled the car dolly out to Randolph, loaded up the XJ, and pulled it back home.
Thanks to Justin and Jamie for the ride, and Thanks to Del for the help and support.
I had a great time too and the park was fun today. I did manage to back into a tree going up Denise Butts and added a little more wrinkel to the rear and side on the passanger side. Great to have Justin and Jamie as riders, but I couldn't talk Jamie into driving. Maybe next time.
I will call and esplain.. I started to type it out, but.... before I got done esplainin.. I reread it, and figured I was just gonna cornfuse a bunch O people.
Justin, nice pics and it is fun to see the old Bronco look like it is going to make it, we will keep it a secret that it had to pull around and didn't make it up that ledge.
