wiring woes

So I decided to start a new thread seeing as the previous one went astray. I am in the process of putting these lights on and have run into a slight snag in the wiring end, considering it is wired up and the lights do not light up. I would rather not hook into the high beams, but rather just have them by themselves.
Due to this I fact I have another question:
Do you have to hook up these lights into the high beams in order for it to work, and if so what color wire is the high beam? I have a green black on both lights and then a blue white wire on the drivers side and then a green orange on the passenger side.
These lights are Hella 500's, 55w. So if anyone could help me with this it would be great, cuz i kinda need to get this done tomorrow.

not sure what the situation is but if they are going to a new switch, they need a relay hooked in.

Well we hooked up the relay that came from the box and everything else looks to be legal, the thing is when you try to turn the lights on with the switch in the cab nothing lights up, not even the light on the switch in the cab comes on. In the instructions it says to hook the switch into the high beams wire, but i didnt do this. Thus I was wondering what color wire is the high beam is so as I can hook into it and then connect it to the switch in hopes of getting it to actually work. If it matters my truck is a 2003 F-150 Screw, i dont know if this affects the wire colors.

if its a lighted switch, you will need a hot in, a ground, and a switch leg goin to the relay. Then you will need a hot going to the relay, a ground, switch leg from switch, and leg goin to lights, then a ground from the lights. then the lights will work if hooked up appropriately dont know if this will help.

That kinda helps. But what I'm looking to figure out is what color the highbeams wire is so that I can hook into it with the new lights.

Go pick up a 12v test light probe. Use it to find which wire goes hot when you turn on the high beams. I've got a set of Hella Optilux 1900 driving lights that I'm going to install in the 150 in my sig. I just got started on the behind the grill mount this morning.

High beam wires are light green/black. Good luck!
