Help Please

I am trying to remove the drag link off the pitman arm. I removed the bolt going through the pitman arm, tho it will not come off. Same with the pitman arm, the end connected to the gearbox, does not want to come off. I didnt want to start banging stuff without checking with you guys with what to do.

Hit it with a BFH or even better, use a puller.

Alrigt, I rented a puller. I was able to pop off the upper part of the pitman arm off the gearbox, but how to I get the drag link off the lower part? Do I bang on the bottom or the top? Theres a like a grease fitting on the bottom, i assume not to bang on that, and theres a stud on the top, to I pull up or push down on that?

Screw the nut out to the end of the "stud" so when you hit it with a hammer you don't mushroom the end.
Support the drag link, or whatever you want to call it, and whack it with a hammer.
It will pop off.

Why do you need to remove the pitman arm, are you putting in a lift kit?
