Code Scanners

What is the best bang for the buck on code scanners? Need to be able to read transmission codes. I already have a cheap actron and it won't pick up anything that flashes my OD light.

The best one that I know of is AE, I don't know of any others that do our 7.3 diesel codes.

Talk to Joey at Terminator Engineering about the Scangauge- about $240 bucks but has all kinds of capabilities.
You can also scrounge Ebay and CL for a VIN locked or used Superchips programmer as they read DTC's also.

Good call on the 1705. My wife has a 03 Exploder. Don't know if I can wait for an auction though. Will probably tow to dealer on Monday if I can't find the prob.

Be careful Bill. There are some OBDII codes that they will pull but not all of them.

Yea, I already have one... I am not going to buy unless they tell me they will take it back if it won't read the diesel.
Thanks for the warning.
