I just changed by air pump because it was seized up and now after driving for 3 days the serp belt is starting to shred on the radiator side. The new belt is wider than the old one, could that be the issue?
The grooves in the belt need to fit into the grooves in the pulleys. maybe you don't have the right belt. The new belt shouldn't be wider than the old one. Compare them side-by-side and the grooves should be the same.
I just had a new tensioner and power steering pump pulley put on and the issue is still happening. WTF??? Should I try to find a smaller belt (4 groove vs 6 groove)?

Beats me. The old one was a bit more narrow compared to this one. I will have to look when I get home but I think it was a 4 groove and never had a problem until the air pump seized.
Someone had replaced the powering steering pump and dident drive the pulley all the way on flush with the shaft.
Check to see if all of the pulleys align up.
The air pump pulley may not be in alignment
I had the exact same problem on my truck ('88 4.9 5spd). When I replaced the power steering pump, the pulley was slightly out of alignment and the belt would sort of "shimmy" from side to side as it rode over the pulley. It would shred belts like a fiend (one every three weeks roughly). End result was the pulley had to be pulled forward maybe an 1/8" or less and the problem was solved.
