What hose are you talking about? As for the sensor, zip-tie it out of the way and be done with it.

No hose, either 4" exhaust tubing or a 3" ABS or PVC pipe coupler. Exhaust tubing is better- thinner walled, less flow restriction.

Depending on your truck, you may need a straight piece of pipe, or you may need a 45degree elbow. A select few have been able to clamp the filter directly to the hose off the intake box. Also, depending on your specific trucks, you may need to alter the battery box. I removed my battery/air box and used a sawzall to cut it to make room for the filter. Some just remove the airbox. My 97 had the air box removed. The 02 needed some modification.

mine is a late 99. it looks to me like i will need a 45, just ordered 2 filters. gonna get the covers after i get everything like i want it. they have got some metal exhaust hose they say is flexable, but it doesnt feel like it. i will only need about a 4 inch piece, so i dont see it flexing much, think i will just do away with my box all together. what else is an option for metal here. i want my factory intake hose to go over it, and the nipple on the end of the filter to go over it too. 4 inch ID right?

Late 99 won't need a 45* piece, just a straight piece about 4" long.

i want a sticker too! LOL. My hose going to my airbox will be to short, and it looks like it will hit the battery if it goes straight, so i need to find a 45 or at least a 30 degree bend. the exhaust hose will not bend, espesially if it is only 4 inches long, now my 02 has a different set up on it, all i need is something hard for the intake hose and filter to clamp to and it will be set.
