I have a 2000 F-250 extended cab 7.3L, and a friend of mine offered to sell me a aFe turbo back exhaust system, its never been used and is stainless, up until now i didn't know aFe made an exhaust system, i was wondering how it compares to other brands (MBRP, banks, bullydog, ect) Also does anyone know of a video of an aFe exhaust on a 7.3L, i searched on youtube for one but couldn't find anything. And sorry for 2 posts, i guess i could have combined them together. (but i'm new)
A firend of mine has the aluminized 4" version on his early '99 and it appears to have fit issues. The downpipe is hitting the back of the head and rubs on the passenger side upper spring shackle bolt. I have the MBRP with no clearance problems when tightened up correctly..
They are all pretty much the same thing except you throw a name brand on there and Jack up the price I would get it as long as he cuts you a good deal on it
ok, he wants $400 for it and he paid $1000 for it but it came with AFE filter. It's 4", stainless. My other option i was going to try was stacks, i have the chrome stacks, just don't have the Y pipe, which is a better option i guess? I can do the stacks for real cheap, but will it do anything for performance (or if i keep my foot out, MPG?)
