AFE exhaust

Hey, I just bought my 03 King ranch 350 with the 6.0 powerstroke. I'm looking to get the big turbo whistle, and wanted to hear opinions on AFE exhausts. I bought an AFE exhaust for my old 7.3 F-350, but sold that truck, and never installed the exhaust, so I assume AFE should let me exchange the exhaust for the new one I need. I also need to keep my 100k mile warrentee, will the exhaust void it?

I am not terribly up to date on the AFE exhuast systems but I was told (but not verified source) that their muffler is hollow and does not have any packing material, if so that presents a slight restriction in the system which is not the reason you buy an performnce system etc. You have a system there so check it out and tell us what you find in the muffler. As far as warranty you must keep the cat in the system unmodified and totally original in the stock original location. If you do that then it's pretty hard for a dealer to give you a hard time etc. Kind of like Mustangs, since the mid 80's folks have been adding headers and cat back exhaust systems for years with no warranty issues at all.

If you need a system that keeps the cat stock the MBRP system we sell do that, we also have a cat test pipe for off road and racing use that bolts in with two bolts and 1 clamp etc. Call us if you have any questions etc.
