Best exhaust mod if keeping the cat

Pondering the three options and which one will be the most cost effective if I retain the cat for legal purposes? I just want to reduce my EGT’s and don’t want a very loud truck (but wouldn’t mind a little rumble). The truck is stock but I tow. I will be taking out the EGR cooler.
1) Cat back
2) Turbo back
3) Keep the stock system and take the muffler out

Thanks

I went turbo back with my 5". The truck isn't very loud, just has a distinct turbo whine (sounds like a jet). Now when you put a load on it, it'll rumble but again, not deafening. My truck whistles up to about 72 mph, then after that she'll start growling, that's w/o a load. I would check into your local laws before you decide to do a cat delete, it's up to you on that. Some cops won't bother you, others might.

-cat back=pointless from what i have heard
-turbo back best bang for the buck if you want it very inexpensive we have very good sponsors who will bend over backwards for you
-keeping the system and cutting out the muffler will cut the egt's down a bit but not as effectively as the turbo back

If you want a really good and cheap exhaust system contact either riff raff diesel, mko, or stealth...I got the mko 5" (which will be in tomorrow) best bang for the buck (for me)

u beat me how dare you lol...did you get your tip in yet griz

Cat back is not pointless if you want the most noticeable turbo whine.

Maybe you meant that it doesn't increase power enough to warrant removing it - that part I understand

I had stock exhaust on my 02, turbo back on the 03, and the 05 has a $60 Walker BTM muffler ... good sound - good flow - good price
