Diagnostic help....
i've got a 2007 F-150 with the ford 6 button remote start....
90 percent of the time its working, however, the other ten when you try and activate the remote start, it beeps...turns on all electrical....and then beeps once and doesn't start....
I've determined its something to do with the pats system (per ford key line)
I've reprogrammed the system using both keys and the starter fob....
Checked the loop they glued onto the pat ring in the steering column...
The problem i'm running into is having any way of isolating whats wrong since its very sporadic as to when it happens.....
Lastly...its been installed for a year and a half...and just started last week....
I don't know if its related, but the same day it happened first, my gas gauge went wacko too and didn't display full when it was filled for 40 miles......
If you want to test it when it's not working, put the key in or on top of the lock cylinder and see if it starts then.
