Wife's 04 got 70,000 out of those stupid Contis I didnt think they would ever wear out (wife dosent like to spend $ unnessiarily) Put LE on it and the have been great, no noise great traction etc. Well worth the money.
When the POS wranglers on my Sport Trac wear out I am going to put LEs on it
We replaced our Conti's with BF Goodrich Long Trail Touring. Weird though after 15k they're feathering like the conti's but no noise yet. Rotated them once to. May have look at air pressure or alignment.
I put the BFG Long trails on about 15K ago and they are great tires. The noise is very good and so far tire wear seems excellent. They track nice in the rain also.
Put BFG Long Trail Tour TA's on 2001 v6 AWD. 2000 miles and great so far. Quiet and well mannered, hope they do good in snow next winter with 15-20 k on them.
I replaced my wifes 01 with michelin x radials at 40,000 and at 106,000 they still have good tread left. The key is proper inflation and tire rotation at every 5,000 miles. I have michelins on all of our vehicles and we have been very pleased with these tires. Just don't like the price tag. But you get what you pay for.
