Purple coolant?

We have some Fleetrite ELC in a case at work. It says CAT EC-1 and is the "Good Stuff". It was purchased from IH for one of our late model dump trucks with a CAT engine.

You can't tell anything by the color of the coolant, you have to read the label. I've seen the ELC coolant in purple, red, and yellow. You have to read the label, as several posters have said the Cat EC-1 rating is what you are looking for.

Yep I'm sure thats what I have cause I told the guy at the counter about my truck having the ELC in it.
