Cylinder Head Identification Help.

Hello All, Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction.

1996 F150 5.8L - Trying to find out exactly what the factory heads are.

Reason I'm asking, I have a chance to get a new set of heads off a 302 for free, Casting # E7TE ( I think ). Are these better that what I have now, or will they even work with my 351W.

Thanks,

Jack

Your 5.8 has the same head, the only thing that has to be done to the 302 version is drill out the main bolt holes to 1/2".

In your opinion, would it be worth having the new heads reworked and to what extent? Then I would switch them out.

That do you think?

Thanks for the quick reply.

It's not really cost effective to put any money in the stock heads IMO.
