I've been lookin at 78 f150 in my community and has been sitting since 91' has a busted windshield a bed that is has some little dings in it and startin to rust with a 300I6 4wd and 4spd the seat is junk and drivers door panel is junk what do ya all think it is worth?
I have seen stuff like that sell for under 1000 were I live, but thats just my instances, you might be able to get it for around that, if not more or less, but also, every part of the country has different ideas on what stuff is worth. You could always make an offer, the least you'll get back is no.
well it has 105,000 miles and it hasn't been started since 91' as far as i know it was fine before it was parked they just upgraded to a new rig. I saw a 3/4 ton on craigslist around where i live a while back and it had good tags newer tires and fine glass for $500 it also had 4wd and a four speed so i'm thinkin 350 or 400
Not running for several years means that the gas tank is in bad shape as well as any critters that would have otherwise called this truck home. It could have several issues, and when I find these trucks I offer to haul them off for free. If they have paper work for the truck, this is a decent offer.
It is possible that they will tell you to take a hike, so if that is the case, you can then offer some money, but I dont think that you should have more than a few hundred bucks.
Just what I have seen, and I am in california where the sheetmetal is almost always in great shape.
