Followup to the electrical issues. . .

Well I found the problem. . . it didn't take too long either. Location is the drivers fender well. . . how do you like this?

That is some serious corrosion. That's why I use Noalox on my connections. By the amount of green powder seen I wonder how far it traveled up the cable?

Is Noalox that red sticky crap they spray on the batt. terminals Jim?

Dang Timmy. That's one heck of a mess. Sounds like one more thing I should go look at on my truck to be on the safe side. Thanks for the pic.

Chase. Noalox is stuff you get at Home Depot or Lowes in the electrical section. Noalox is written in small letters. The big letters say Ideal. It works much better than that stupid spray on stuff.

Good info, thanks Chris. I didn't think Jim would go spraying that red crap all over the place, but he's had a lot going on lately so I thought maybe he was losing it just a bit

Yeah that fixed the problem. . . now if I could only get these door ajar switches to stop working backwards

Not to sound dumb but is that underneath the air box. Can't see that on mine. Looks like a junction?

Northern Illinois. . . this truck is very neglected. never cleaned. Lots of salt. You should see the rust starting in the wheel wells.
