CCV Mod. lowering performance?

CCV Mod. lowering performance?
Anyone have a similar problem? I modded the CCV with the home-made canister (forget who's Idea i copied) and removed the pipe that sticks into the air intake. I basically cut the top of the "straw" and siliconed the remaining part back in with a cap on the end. This way i don't have an open hole. Was I suppose to just leave that? The CCV breathes fine but I feel like acceleration isn't as great as it was before...could just be psychological. Anyone???

It's flowing alright...very nicely. I mean its not constricted by any means. If the hole where it went into the intake plenum was leaking at all, could that cause a problem? I think its just in my head. The truck should wake up bit more when I put my wix filter on and up the fuel pressure.

If that hole wasn't sealed up good you would be sending unfiltered air into the turbo...wouldn't hurt the performance, at least not right away. Eventually the turbo would get dusted. BTW: "In my head" has been the cause of a lot of my troubles...to much space up there for things that don't exist to get into. LOL!
