I do not know what tranny it is (And I would like to), it's a code 'P' on the door jamb tag.
(I ain't crawling under it in the snow, my bones don't allow that anymore)
The transfer case is a Borg Warner (not sure what model) and the speedometer drive gear is stripped, I looked at an exploded view and It looked like one could pull the yoke & seal and get the drive gear out, So I ordered one from Ford, picked it up today and lost hope when seeing there was no key (keyway) of any sorts.
Now I'm concerned it's pressed on, or is it a crush fit by the yoke.
Is it possiable to change the speedometer drive gear without splitting the case.
The drive gear with a metal core is held by the yoke. Pull the yoke and look through the seal. I seem to remember changing the drive gear through the seal sometimes. Otherwise you are right, pull the yoke and seal.

I'll owe ya a cold one if yur right, cause you just gave me hope that I didn't have before.
I am hoping it's crush fit by the yoke.
The OD of the gear is larger than the ID of the seal, so the seal does have to come out.
I'm going to have to do this in a borrowed location and I cannot get into something unknown and get stuck. It's a long story but our house is in my shop due to a house fire.
