brake locking up
my 86 f350 dually has developed a brake issue. When coming to a normal stop the drivers rear brakes will lock up and slide to a stop. This comes and goes and doesn't do it all the time. what could be causing this??

A Master Cylinder can cause this problem.
Also binding parts in the drum, lack of lubricant, broken brake shoe, bad wheel cylinder.
etc...
First thing I'd do is check the rear brakes. Check for cracked or broke shoe, worn parts, leaking wheel cylinder etc.

my truck used to do the same thing but it was only the left rear brake. I had a blown out wheel cylinder on that side. Replaced it and it still locked up bad. Replaced all the brake hardware on the rear and the problem went away.
