No. One is a feedback carb and the other isn't. The 1984 YFA needs a computer to work correctly. (this is of course if the 1984 has the original carb)
You need to get the exact replacement YF carb by using the number off the tag on the original. (hope it's still there).
Ford Engines have several different calibrations, and the only way to match the carb to the calibration you have is the tag on the carb, or to get the calibration number off one of the original engine stickers, (which are less likely to be there than the carb tag).
If you mismatch the calibration it will cause poor fuel economy, dieseling, among other drivability problems.
This is why it's almost always better to rebuild a carb than to replace.
