park/marker lights

park/marker lights
Hi everyone,fairly new here,great sight.Just done the headlight conv 2002-2005 everything went great.Installed harness from dfuser,all light sockets match up,but the park/marker light on the side almost fits,just not enough room for harness to plug in. HELP??? Very excited.Thanks.

Welcome to FTE. How much did you trim your header panel? Is there a chance you could get an extra inch of wire by trimming a tad more on the header panel? Otherwise it's a matter of twisting the light and holding your mouth just right. The stock lights barely plug up as it is. I don't know why Ford didn't include a couple of inches of extra wire on those things.

I have the 05 lights as well and mine fit. Like stated, you may need to do some more cutting, but it will fit. Here's my thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...es-are-in.html

Thanks, Ill try and explain better.The header panel is cut to perfection.Lights fit great.New h13 bulbs.Harness from dfuser.Everyyhing works, even side park light.My problem is the park light socket,(the little grey 90) can twist into the back of the 2005 headlight/park hole,but can not connect harness from truck to the 90 because the 90 hits the back of headlight when installed.Sorry for the trouble.Thank-you.

Gotcha, I'm away from my truck now, but I think my lights had a different lamp holder. I left the old ones with the old lamps when I sent them off. IIRC the ones that came with the 05 lamps were strait.

Hi Rob,have been useing this site for about 2 years,just never a member till recently.Spent lots of time on this site & $$$ on my truck.The headlights & corners are in very good shape,all the clips and adjusters,but dont know what they are worth.Also have sylvania silverstar ultras in them,headlights & fog that i would sell also olny 7 months old.Thanks

2002, I had the same problem with the park light sockets. Mine were a 90* and they have to be straight. I bought my headlights off ebay and one was missing the socket but I had the other one so that told me what I needed. I went to the dealer and got the striaght socket. I think it was like 8 bucks but cant remember for sure.
