Did Ford use the same size steering wheel mounting on cars and trucks? OR, what wheels will fit my 1967 steering column?
Thanks
i dont know the answer to that but i think from about that time and up ford used the same steering wheel. Im pretty sure the guts of the wheel in my trucks up to 91 were the same. hopefully numbersdummy can give you the right answer. My first guess would be no, trucks and cars had a different spline.

While all these wheels interchange, some colors were only available certain years.
The red steering wheel used 1964/66 is a lighter shade of red than what 1967/70 F100/350's & 1967/73 Bronco's used, as it was more of a burgandy color.
1973 and later F100/350's (1974 and later Bronco's) used a wheel with a vinyl horn pad with a switch enclosed within.
1970 and earlier trucks (1973 and earlier Bronco's) used either a horn ring or a horn button.
1978/79 F100/350's offered an optional 3 spoke "sport" steering wheel. These have a horn button in the center, cannot be used with factory installed speed control.
The same wheel was used on 1977/79 Thunderbirds, Cougars, LTD II's (NOT LTD's), Ranchero's, 1978/83 Fairmont/Zephyrs.
Good information, thanks. Any ideas about the 50's wheels? It's that weight thing, ya know....
If weight is a problem, forget anything prior to 1961 (or the 4 spoke 4WD wheels used 1961/66).
These wheels are much larger in diameter.....and....so....are not user friendly to someone with a weight problem...like myself...who is 6-5, 345 for example.
Time to get one of those little 10" chrome chain wheels from the 70s
Make it a bit hard to steer unless it has power steering. I have a smaller wood/chrome Grant wheel in my '69 and with no p/s, it's a BEAR to parallel park(especially with big tires and a full spool out back). Usually takes a few tries to just pull into a normal parking spot.........going reallllly wide.
Bill, my best buddy I race with is just shy of your size and to watch him crawl in/out of his '87 Mustang(with roll bar) is a marvel. He was my size growing up(5-11/180#) and now he's in his 50's.

I can't fit in any Mustang, and I never could, even when I was 40 + years younger and weighed less than 200 lbs.
If you go to the SoCal Chapter forum and look at the "pics from the March 1st meet in Lancaster" there's a pic of this oversized grumpy old SOB there.
I'm about as dashing as an arthritic bull elephant.
I've been called many things here on FTE (most good, some not so good)...but this is the first time anyone said...joking or otherwise...that I am dashing.
