Dipstick Leak Fix Question

i went through a similar dillema. i would have to tighten the nut every week or two. i finally ended up backing the nut off, cleaning up the outside real good, globbing on grey rtv, tightening the nut and globbing more rtv all over it. hasn't leaked in about a year and a half since i did that.

Test drive was successful! Drove around about a half hour sort of getting on it a bit. Wound it up past 3K several times. Completely dry under there. I love easy fixes but I'll know for sure Saturday. I'm hauling my Bronco out of town for a 4X4 run down near Socorro, NM. It's about 100mi each way.
