I am kinda disappointed that it only comes in the SCab 5.5' box configuration. I know the breakover angle and turning radius is better with the shorter wheelbase, but I like the proportions of a SCab 6.5' or SCrew 5.5' better.
Anyhow, that looks like a very capable off-road machine. Nothing the competition has even comes close. I guess the Dodge Power Wagon is the closest thing.
i saw the raptor this weekend in person at the HLSR. Nothing too impressive, seems like it will be an overpriced plastic truck. Damn near the whole truck has cheap plastic on it. Cheap *** greyish black running boards, cheap *** front grille, cheap *** front plastic bumper, cheap *** non working hood vents along with plastic side fenderwell vents, with a lame *** interior to go with everything else.
The only thing the raptor has going for it is the fact that it is lifted with a skid plate. Personally I would opt to get the 2010 Harley Davidson (by far the nices interior) and get an aftermarket lift kit for it.
well after seeing that this is going to be the finally lay out of the truck i'm happy i just bought mine now verise waiting since i need a crew cab truck
but on the other hand if you have a short 5.5 bed you could always just buy the body panels and turn it into a raptor look a like and i bet you could stick 35" on with out any lift and also save on that sticker shock
guess I'm gonna have to build one now. I guess Ford still hasn't realized that 3/4 of the people who can afford these vehicles have kids...there is no way in hell I'll buy a Scab...but a Screw would be ideal.
anybody know if they are selling parts for it yet? I like that Upfitter section on the console infront of the shifter...and the rear tow hooks are awesome.
It almost looks like the rear bumper will bolt up to a 04-08 model...I may snag me a set of axles from the 2010 Raptor to install into my 2006 so I can have the e-lockers and the 4.10 gearing
