What is everyone getting for mileage on their new trucks? How long did it take before the engine broke in and got better results? Whats the difference from new?

There's a mpg thread on page 2 that has a lot of info on this.

I would guess I noticed the most improvement over the first 500 miles. There was maybe ~2 mpg overall improvement. I have 2600 miles on it now, and I usually see 14 around town and about 18 on the interstate, and a little better on highways. My sticker said 14/18. The concensus seems to be that the 5.4 gets pretty close to what the sticker says, and there is rumor that the 4.6 3v may do a little better than its rating.

According to the 'puter, I'm getting mid to low 16 mpg's driving back and forth to work. It's an eight mile "city" drive. Light traffic on the way in, heavy on the way out. I only have 200 miles on the truck. I'll post what the calculated (real) fuel economy is once I fill it again. By the way, it's a standard cab 2wd, 2009 with 4.6 liter 3 valve, 3:55 rear axle.
