Did you pull the the light switch out to turn on the fog lights? I seen this before on here.

If the truck had sat for 5 years with little or no driving, I would also look at replacing lubes and fluids if you haven't done that already. Old tranny fluid might also contribute to some of the tranny stuff. I'd change the antifreeze, differential, power steering etc. fluids for new stuff.

yeah its a pull out switch, changed the abs sensor/vss sensor on rear diff, fixed it all, went ahead and bought a programer while i was there, what a diff.
