truck in accident

I have an 86 F-250 with a long bed. The truck was in an accident on the freeway. The initail impact was to the front of the truck as it hit a gaurd rail the truck then spun and impacted the rear was damage to the bed and bumper. The front of the truck is pretty bad the radiator and the front grill assembly is trashed. The radiator was pushed back into the fan and as far as I can tell thats the extent of the damage. The front fenders are both damaged and the passenger side door was slightly bent at the front edge. Both rear fenders and the tailgate are also fairly curled. My question is short of taking it to a bodyshop how can I determine if it would be safe and worth my while to do some work on it. A project rebuild. I have little to no body work experience but am more than up to the challenge. I have no time constraints but I don't want to spend the money to have a bodyshop do all the work and besides I could use the lessons. thanks

truck in accident

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Apr-02 AT 10:08 PM (EST)]First off, after you strip all the nasty sheet metal off, GET IT TO A FRAME SHOP, have them check it and pull it if necessary.
Then every thing else is just a bolt on.
