Need Advice from the Pro's
I built many cars and trucks in the 80's and 90's and had to use hundreds of magazines to accomplish my projects. No more experimenting ! It costs too much ! I recently purchased a 2005 X with a PSD and it is time to upgrade and make it unique. I have some questions and hope all you X owners can help out and or share your experiences.1- Does any company make a 2" suspension lift with new leaf springs?
2- Will V-code and B-code springs fit a 2005 chassis? Is the 05' suspension different from earlier models?
3- What is the procedure in putting ARP studs into a 6.0?
4- Will adding OEM 20" wheels and tires help or hurt fuel mileage? I have 3.73's and 70mph is 2000 rpm with stock wheels and tires.
5- Should I be looking into a EGR delete kit?
Thanks in advance for all your help ! Hopefully not too many questions first time around? I am sure there will be more as time goes on.

I feel a tad ashamed for clicking in this thread. I wouldn't want anyone to think that I thought I was a "PRO" yet it could be surmised that anyone who clicks on this thread will think that of themselves.
2, Not a clue, I have a 4" procomp kit on my truck.
3,I thought I read somewhere that the cab or engine has to come out to change the head studs. I have a 5.4L so I haven't payed much attention.
4, wheel diameter isn't a big effect on mileage, however, you are adding more weight and at a larger radius. The tires are going to be the main concern, wider and taller tires usually reduce mileage. Because you have a diesel I can't speak to how they effect power or mileage.
5, not a clue again. However EGR systems are helpful in cold climates, they help warm the engine up by introducing hot air in to the cylinders. Removing it could mean you need a little more time to get the engine warmed up, on the other side, you will get cooler/denser air into the cylinders.
I was only a pro in the parts, and that's been over a year ago.
Plenty of guys there that can help you out with any problems or questions you have with your motor.
