Looking good; also the Mt dew was motivation fuel for the boy's during work time. Shane's a smart man not have the after work refreshments avaiable while on the clock. I think the old cab was / is in better shape than the one on my daily driver.
I got the floor pans cut out of my 78 model finish this evening; now time for rust- proofing the inner side of the cab mounts from floor board side and then weld in new floor pans myself.
I have a '76 orange F150. Apparently it was a really popular color option back then. My wife hates the way it looks in front of our blue house!!
Looks like you have a blue house to comlement the orange as well... Good luck with the build. You'll have a workhorse. I love mine.

never done something like that before, so how heavy is that cab?
it took me and 3 other ppl to lift the cab with everything we had.. i estimate it weighs around 600-700lbs, oh and it is front heavy, wants to tip forward really bad when it is picked up

Yeah, but we can't have TOO much fun working on these things...then we have to try even harder to keep a straight face when someone asks us how grueling the job was!

Sure...at least for me, the challenge of a project (or horror, whichever you prefer) is half the fun. Seeing a successful outcome is the other half. Of course, I've been a wrencher all my life. I have a clinical NEED to do this stuff!

I've been there, built mine in the back yard the first time too! I remember how it was heavy in front too. But one cool thing you can do now that we did, was put the seat back in the old cab, buckle up, and have your freinds try and roll you down the hill! It stops very quicly once it lands on it back side haha. Had some fun in my junk cab thats for sure. One question for ya though, whats up with the chevy orange valve covers?
