Okay, list of things replaced so far: flps, tach sensor, trs thing. The trans did it again this morning. It's a bit better now, it goes into limp mode and and won't give me overdrive. Better than driving to work in 2nd though. It will work fine for about 30-40 miles before it does this to me. Sometimes it works fine though. Here's the kicker, it doesn't throw any codes. It flashes the O/D light when it does this, but when you let it sit for an hour it goes back to normal. For the most part, temp doesn't seem to make a difference either. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Put simply HELP!
How do your tail lights work? The E4OD uses signals from the brake lights to manage torque converter function. I also heard of some guys removing the dash cluster and cleaning that connector to solve strange problems like this.
Are you having any other electrical problems with the truck?
if the light flashes there is a code stored
when ever the truck is turned off and restarted it will return to normal until the processor see,s the issue again and returns to failure mode
if you are not performing the proper code retrieval method you will erase all codes before you can read them
Brake lights seem to function "late" brake drag before lights. Did get a code this morning, BAP sensor. Seems odd, but gonna try swappin' it too. As for dash connections, this truck is very dusty. been a work truck so it may be worth investigating.
