i have a 94 idi turbo, last night i got a new tank of fuel and drove for a bit, then the truck was off for about half an hour, and when i started it it would not go over 1500 rpm and would not get out of first gear. I bled water out of the fuel filter, but the problem doesnt go away, it seems there is air in the fuel lines, i tried bleeding off from behind the injection pump and the injectors. it still has the problem, it has happened before but it clears up after a few minutes or when i turn the truck off but now it is not going away any help please
it is about -10 i changed the fuel filter and am bleeding off the injectors and injection pump, there is lots of air in the system but i cant figure out why....
Sounds like you gelled up. What did the fuel look like that you poured out of the filter if you had any water in the fuel it will freeze in the low spots too.
If possible get it inside and warm it up.howes in double or tripple doses will help on the gelling but not a water problem diesel 911 is another one I have had good luck with.
In the old days we would pour a gallon of gas in it thins the diesel and still works.
