We rolled (once) our 89 F250 long-bed pickup 3 years ago. All the sheetmetal was trashed, but the running gear is great. I decieded to rebuild my baby, and thus far have replaced the cab, fenders, hood and doors. My problem now is getting every thing into proper alignment. As much as I try, I cannot get the front edge of the hood to correctly align up with the fenders. I got so tired of messing with it, that I shelved the project and bought a 94. I'd still like to get it finished, but Im at my wits end. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Chuck in Mesa
I know how it is, I got my 99SD after it was rolled, all I could use was the passenger door, but I couldn't beat the price!!
First thing I did was send it to the frame shop, make sure it was square and no rails were up or down.
Did you replace the core support? a lot of times they get bent up , which in turn raises the front of the fender or hood.
As long as your frame rails are where they should be and the core support is straight, it all comes down to time, just moving and adjusting, very time consuming.
Get your doors where they're suppose to be and adjust the fenders off them.
