Right now I have a 2 in. leveling kit and 35s on my truck. Heres my crazy question: whats the biggest tire you can fit under a 6 in. lift? It's not in the near future but I'm just wondering for later. The reason I ask is today I parked my truck with the front tires on a snow bank today and everyone at school loved it. It was about 6 in. higher than usual. I think it'd look great with the 6 in. lift and the snow bank! Also would the leveling kit be a total loss or could I re-use it. And yes (Joe) it will be a skyjacker. haha
the best looking tire on a 6 inch lifted 350 is 37's. that gives a good proportion as far as tire to wheel well space. the guy at work with his 350 and 6 inches has had 40's on his.
yeh i checked skyjackers website and they only recommend 38x12.5x16.5. So f--- that. I have good 16 in. rims and the only tires I could find in that size were intercos. I'd much rather go with 37's and have a choice in my tires as I don't much like the super swampers. Any one know what the metric size for 37x12.5 is?
I'm probably already over 18 in. With just my leveling kit and the 35s. Im not sure about bumper height but I know that the max lift you can have is 6 in. In CT. The laws are stupid though because when I got in my accident my front bumper went through the hatch of a ford focus hatchback and that was before the lift and on the 235/75s and it cant get much more dangerous than that.
Well blame Joe because he convinced me to go with a 6" lift. And now I have my dream truck. It turns a few heads and gets quite a few compliments. I parked on a snow drift at school too and a couple people I didn't know started talkin to me about it. Now that I'm lifted up we have no more snow to play in My buddy has 10" of lift on 37's on a chevy 1500 and has been pulled over at least 5 times, so I thought i'd see if mine was legal.
