Hellow to all that drive a 2004 psd built 04/04 pulled out of the driveway and the truck shut down and did not start looked under the hood and saw a nest removed it and found wires apart from the egr and the plug was smooth saw some more bare wires leading to the top of the radiator so tapped up the bare wires and the end that used to have the plug tried to start had all gauges but that was all so then i tapped all the wires together and she fired up the truck is runing great i know it has to do with the egr valve and i think it is in the closed position i have reviewed the egr theads and need some advice the truck has 64000 and my warranty time runs out in april what do you all think ?? thanks

My dad had this happen to his brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee a couple of years ago in his garage. He ended up trapping some huge strange looking rat. It was very a weird creature that stripped the insulation off of almost every wire under the hood.

That sounds like a squirrel to me - tree rat. 
Sorry about your luck, but I couldn't help but laugh. When I saw the title of the thread was "squirrel" it immediately had my attention.

That was tough to read dude, use sentences. On a similar note, I had a chipmunk build a nest in my engine while I was camping during hunting season. Little ******* chewed through some vacuum lines and I lost 4wd.
