Mercon SP fluid
Looking into doing my first major service (30k miles) on my 05 F250 and the owners manual states for trans fluid to use Mercon SP and specifically states not to use Mercon V or Dextron VI. Problem is, out of 4 parts stores I've gone to, nobody has Mercon SP. Merc V and Dex VI state they can be used for vehicles that use Mercon SP, so who do I believe? I can get Mercon SP at the stealer, but they want $6 per qt. and I can get the other stuff at parts stores for $3.50, so could add up if I use the full 17.5 qts the owners manual states.

Mercon SP it is then! I was planning on that, but figured maybe I'd try the others if a bunch of other people had used it without issue. I'll just have to order it in as it is kind of hard to find for some reason...
