No I do not. You'll have to call the NOS PARTS LTD number Bill posted above. Bill did what I was going to do for you.

No Ford dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any.

However, if this is a 1968 F250 Camper Special, due to the size of the (original) wheels, 3.73 ratio, it would use the 7 tooth 8J17285 DRIVE gear.

There are 41 of these puppies available NOS

btw: The were no motor home 'chassis' available until 1973. M450/500's assembled/sold (very poorly) 1973/76. I've only seen one in person.

1969/74 E100/300 (Econolines) are unit bodies. One piece welded chassis/body w/a stub frame to bolt the engine/trans to.

Ford offered an E300 "Cut-Away." Cut the cargo van body off behind the front seats, so that Class C motor home, box van and etc. bodies could be installed.

Actor Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger) had a E300 Class C motorhome, was a frequent visitor to Ralph Williams Ford in Encino. He liked to come by and chit-chat with anyone.

I've got a pic of the two of us standing beside his motor home. Of course he's wearing the mask, I don't think he ever took it off, even when sleeping!
By the way, so to make sure the yoke bears down on the new drive gear, will I need a few washers? Will any washer work that fits properly? Or any in particular? Thanks.

Lower pic: Don't see any washers.

17285 is the DRIVE gear, 17288 is its spacer, 7070 is the snap ring for the output shaft's bearing (7065).

Thanks Bill, I ordered the drive gear from Rodney over at NOS. He didn't have the part number for the spacer and asked if you might have it? I was missing the spacer too. PO rigged it with washers and a GM drive gear, which obviously didn't work.

Thanks all, Bill, Jeff, Mike ... I owe you a beer or two. Glad I wasn't nuts (not completely anyway), got the slide on drive gear, spacer, tighted down yoke, works perfectly.
I have another problem though which is dangerous, not sure if related to gears in the c6. When I start my truck it starts backing up in reverse. When I park it and put in park, I confirm its in park and turn off truck. Then start truck and it starts backing up. Shift collar? Linkage? Related to brakes? The only reason I ask is sometimes when I start truck is stays in park as it should. But when I put foot on brake it will sometimes go into reverse. Last, i do have a functioning 1970's KH hydraulic trailer brake controller. Maybe remove it?

Depends on if your pointer is staying at "P" when it does this or not. It could be the shift collar or there is a insert (7a216) that holds the shifter in Park. These eventually get worn out some then the shifter "falls" out of Park.

Hey Bill, can you please post Illustration Section 35, page 8?

I'm not sure if you're saying it starts in reverse or, if the problem is the gear selector is falling out of park and dropping down into reverse (?).

If it's starting in reverse, the NSS and/or the gear selector linkage to the transmission is out of adjustment.

If the gear selector is falling out of park and into reverse, the tip of the gear selector is probably heavily worn.

It may look like this little gem --my old gear selector from my '69 F100. I replaced my whole '69 fixed column with a tilt column from a '78 F150.

^This was the cause of a destroyed dealer rear step bumper and a dent in the tail gate on my truck, when the previous owner had it.

It could also be a sign of collapsed cab mount bushings, placing a bind on the linkage going down to the transmission.

Thanks, it is definitely my gear selector. Just pulled it out and has no teeth. Ultraranger thanks for pic, compared to mine I realized there were supposed to be teeth there : ). Any tips on getting a new one? Also want to order a new insert which the selector teeth fit into (thanks Jeff and Bill again)
Parts 7A216 and 7210.

The insert 67/69 before ser #D96,001 is part number C7TZ7A216A. None on my 3 locators.
The shift lever 67-72 BEFORE SER #P60,001 was D0TZ7210G. Replaced by D3TZ7210C.

D3TZ-7210-C is a chrome steel shift lever w/a D3TZ-7213-A black plastic ****.

D0TZ-7210-G is also a chromo, but I don't recall what the **** was.

The 1965/68 C5TZ-7210-W original shift lever (replaced by D0TZ-7210-G) was painted steel w/a black plastic ****.

Mustang Service Center: 818-765-9266 (818-765-1196 is a cell phone that Bo rarely answers). Bo (the owner before buying Mustang Service Center) was a partsguy at Walker-Buerge Ford in WLA for 20 years.

When I went to look at the truck (I have now), the previous owner told me that he and a buddy had been working on it one day. The drivers side window was down and the previous owner said his buddy reached in through the window and hit the key. He said when the truck started, it dropped out of park, into reverse, and it took off across the yard and collided with a tree.

Before I changed out the entire column, I NEVER left the truck running if I wasn't in it. I always set the parking brake too (even now) --no matter if I park on an incline or if the ground is completely flat.

My '69 Ranger also had a steel, painted (black) gear selector lever w/black ****.

The (replacement) '78 column has a chrome gear selector lever with a black ****.
