Stick my head in the sand? Far from. If I honestly thought the system we have was being followed the way it was intended I would have full confidence in everything the government does because it was government by citizen.
The problem is everything costs money, and money breeds greed, which seeds corruption. You'll find those people in every government this country has ever had.
As for my statement, I didn't make it clear enough. It's out of context. Attach it to the line that followed it and you might understand the point I was trying to make, that point being: no matter what we're doing here on this board, agreeing or disagreeing, it is of no matter or concern. All that matters is that justice is done and Ms. Levy can rest.

Any and all of his criminal record is relevant,whether it actually had anything to do with this case or not. If convicted,he will be guilty of a capital crime,and should be punished to the extent the law allows. If as its being asserted,a disproportionately large number of criminals are coming into our country via illegal immigration,we had better make damn sure that those foreign governments arent just using the US as a dumping grounds for there bad seeds.....
