Howdy all, I have an 05 F350 6.0 utility that weighs @ 10K or so. Would it be better for the trans to use tow haul all the time or just leave it off? By the way I don't care about MPG.

The trans is fine either way. Try both and use whichever one you like best.

Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering which way would be better for the longevity of the trans. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter.

T/S will hold in a lower gear longer on accel and drop it faster while decel.....So depending on your load.... etc. I like to use it without ANY load while in town driving too....

I have a question related...Mark may have answered it with his post, but just to be sure: Is it fine to drive my truck (no trailer) with tow/haul off and when I go to slow down for stop sign or light etc. I put it in tow/haul to slow me down without using a the brakes as much? Can anyone see how maybe it could hurt the transmission? Thanks
