Good afternoon Ken, and all the rest, Ken the GTG was small but very nice, our Host and MS Chapter Leader, Barry & Ms Barry had the grill already "smokin" when I got there, He had a pork shoulder cooking that was absolutly out of this world, I took some Hot Smoked sausage and he grilled it to perfection, along with burgers and his wife brought a big pan of brownies, YUMYUM. Marc Smith, Sign Man, Scan2, & wife, Barrys wife & Mom, and a friend that has a 2006 SprDty was there, along with another Guy from Tupelo that's a member but I forgot his name(sorry), I will post some pics when I get a chance to download them

Straight up!
We plant things that Y'all do and don't... It just might be cool to be able to bounce from one chapter to another and talk about how we do thangs, especially about "Plants Piquante" (PEPPERS )!!!
But it's sure to be helpful on a local scale.....
... in other words a "Chapter GARDEN Thread" all about growing things that you can have fresh off the vine
What a wonderful morning! Had a busy weekend for work and yesterday I was just whipped! Hope to get back in the swing of things again this week! Hey Robert, Glad to see you got your belly full of Crawfish this past week end! They are like sex.....One you get them you want to keep getting them!
Hey everybody... Was out for a while.. Spent Thursday and Friday fishing out of Venice. Weather didn't cooperate on Thursday. We salvaged Friday by running down to the Mouth by the rocks and taking a limit of reds.
I could bug Y'all I suppose, but maybe you want to keep how y'all grow fine peppers a state secret or something.
NAH!!!
I'll just drive on down there from Memphis some day and STEAL all of your secrets....
How Y'all doin' today?
~Wolfie
Greywolf, there is really no secret, we just follow our instincts, We have tried starting seeds in a greenhouse, then putting them in the ground about the 15th of March, and usually wound up loosing a bunch of them because it would get cold again, so now we usually just wait about the middle of April, then it's safe for anything. We raise Jalapenos, Cayennes, Hot and sweet Bannanas, Big Jims, Habaneros, We also get some specialty seeds from Pepper Joes .com (Lemon Peppers, Peter Peppers, yes I said peter peppers, and they kinda look like the real thing(at least if you have a good imagination) try hooking up with Pepper Joe, he can give you a lot of good info.
I've looked up that place before! THEY WERE GREAT!!!
Hells bells, I just thought I had to find a big enough shoe-horn for a (relative) yankee to git in here...
But Y'all have native peppers you might be able to help me out on getting! Like "TABASCO" seeds......
(Abe: "AW dang - He's just like a Yankee, always beggin' fer something!")
(Luke:"Heck - at least he ain't done stole it already...")
(Abe: "Yep.")
(Luke: "Pass me that...")
Well it was a nice day here today. Looks like rain Wednesday. I guess I will get wet.
My Pa made the best pepper sauce that I ever ate. He ha most of his pepper plants potted. He woul bring them in the house every winter. He also planted about 5 acers for a garden.
T'maters on the ground have all kinds of problems. I'd like to hang them over my deck rail.
(Right where the barbeque is going to be anyhow)
But peppers make beautiful house plants anyway. like little Christmas trees with self producing ornaments.... All kinds of colors:
Green
Gold
Orange
Red
Others (Blue and White, purple, etc...)
