TRANS problem need answer???
have 01 F350 7.3psd. 5 inch lift running 35x13x18r nitto. stock gears edge evloution, afe intake,4" exhaust 3'' down tube with muffler delete. 120,000 miles. got trans rebuilt at 110k found out that the one that was in it was a ford reman. i pull 9,000lbs boat on a triple axle trailor. my trans temp gets up to around 210/220 by the gauge. my trans shop put a shift kit and some other heavy duty parts in when they rebuilt it i asked them about the temp. they said aslong a my trans light does not come on i am fine. i dont think i am? what do you think? should i put a bigger cooler on? maybe some differnet gears?

Didn't you put a new cooler on when the trans was rebuilt? I just did mine and the one I got wasn't really much bigger but a heck of a lot more efficent. For the cost of a really good cooler, I think you should just do it and have the peace of mind. Lower trans temps = less problems.

Come visit us in the 7.3 forum, you might get more people that can help you. This forum is great but the 7.3 is more specific to this problem.

DP-TUNER is the best chip for the 7.3. It a custom tuner tuned for your truck, the Edge is a off the shelf tuner that works for a variety of years.
Like I said, go down to the 7.3 forum and you will see what we use. We have done all the trial and error modes for you. All you have to do is go with what we have to get the best performance you can get out of the 7.3.
