wierd lookin' dilly
in the front motor cover on my 460 if you take the waterpump off there's an aluminum lookin stick type of deal that sticks out the top of the cover, runs down through the water jacket and into the casting which looks like it continues down into the crankcase, what is this?

It fits into the passenger (right) side of the timing cover.

that makes sense, but mine's on the RH with a really long tube and it goes into the pan. I guess they changed it for when it was in the winnebago. The guy I bought the truck this motor came in from said it was originally in a winnebago, and my john deere mechanic neighbor said they put industrial 460's in the winnebagos. How would I tell if mine is a winnebago?
