Hey guys need your help. I have a 79 f150 4x4 and I want to clean it up a little. I'm thinking of taking the body off and sandblasting the frame and axles etc. and re-painting them. Here is the problem. I have no experience at all with this and want to know is this smart? How difficult is this to do? What kind of equipment do I need? Will the sandblasting gear from my local sears work o.k.? Is renting equipment the smart way to go? Before I get into this to much I would really like to have your input and suggestions. thanks Scott
I've done all of our sandblasting with a unit we bought from Sears.
The following is just one of many threads on sandblasting you'll find helpful. Look as some of the older posts also. There's alot of info in this Forum on sandblasting and just about anything else you might want to know.
