That's true. There sure seems to be a lot of busnisess hiring around here still, we are looking for some more tech's for when we move into our new shop this summer but are having trouble finding them.

Im still really sure that Alberta wont stay down for that long either. The second the price of oil gets up, I bet my phone will be ringing off the hook for me to get my *** back out there.
I haven't seen the boom here. We are now in the process of closing my wifes business. In the last few years it has been nose diving. Even the guy who owns Goulds billiards says it sure has dropped of on business. He too says where is this boom. Tirecraft on 50th closed down. Their tires sales dropped. ??? you think that would go.
I talked with several small businesses and they said it has not helped them except costs more to run. Readers nook also closed his doors. Rent went through the roof his sales dropped.
One of my wifes students got laid off from her job, because the employer is hiring new managers at a lower wage. The higher wage managers were let go. She now cannot find work. Here is the kicker. The places she applys to say she is not qualified enough, but they have been hiring people from Ontario. Some are wives of laid off autoworkers. This spring we will see an influx of people from Ont.
So you will start to see the help wanted sign going.
