bumper grill swap.....

I have read alot about people putting 05-07 grills on 99-04 trucks. Which I know that you have to trim the bottom of the grill to make it fit. but I have not seen anyone confirm if the new style bumper just bolts right up or have to change mounts or something. also if you put the newer bumper on do you not have to trim the bottom of the new style grill???

Down here I see the grill swapped only. Looking at LMC Trucks catolog for Superduty trucks, it doesn't look bolt on to me. I'm sure there's a way to make it work though.

Delete your "History" and "Cookies" on your PC. See if that solves the problem with the search feature.

Thanks for all the reply's.. I just read from that thread joe posted and one guy said the new bumper needs 4 brackets and 2 brackets for the fog lights??? not sure if i read that right or not but just want to make sure.

yeah the fog light brackets are different, the bumper I bought came with the outside brackets on it, so I left the old brackets on the old bumper, if I recall correctly, the brackets do look different. But everything bolts into the same place on the frame.

So if the new style bumper doesn't come with the brackets will the brackets from my older bumper work???

Here's a search tip. Point Google to this site and search that way.

So something like: bumper mount site:www.ford-trucks.com
will force Google to only look here and is more reliable than the search feature here.
