I just bought a 2001 expy about 3 weeks ago. Looking for some small changes that have a big effect. I bought some new tailights and headlights and put them on (by myself so i figured i might as well show off some pics since I luv it now. I am looking to put a lift and bull bar on soon but gotta pay a few payments first. I would have put a bikini on and posed with it but you all don't want to see that
HA! HA! guys might be able to talk one of my girls into posing after a few budweisers but not me....
diesel_dan as far as the lighting its about the same unless they are on bright. they are still the factory yellow otherwise. The actual light isn't LED but the smaller ones under the light are and it has a ring around the bulb that can be lit up also but I didn't hook all of those up as I put the headlights in myself and mainly bought the lights for the way they look (Don't blame me for being a female on that part), they are called the Expedition Euro Projector Headlights (Black housing) w/ Dual Halo (Angel Eye) & 5 LED lights
here is an upclose factory picture:
Depends on the chip. Some will deliver more power than others. Some people claim to see large fuel economy gains such as a 2mpg gains after reprogramming. Some chips claim to deliver up to like and extra 100HP and a lot of extra torque, but I have not actually done it yet. I plan to as soon as I get my truck, but haven't as of yet. I do not know what engine you have, as there are 2 options for the expy, so each engine would need a different tuner.
as far as a performance chip, i'm not all that interested. It has plenty of power for me as i am using it just to drive, no crazy stuff. I don't ever get in the mud unless it's on a backroad . I won't ever tow anything except my horses maybe once a year, therefore I'm happy with the performance now but thanks for the suggestion
