help installing gauges

I am installing gauges on my truck. I got everything ready to go, but having trouble finding the switched power. I looked at diesel manor and they say red wire with yellow tracer but voltmeter says its not switched 12v. Anyone know which wire? Its an 05 f250
Thanks

Are you looking under the column? Here are a couple options
12 VOLT CONSTANT YELLOW (+) and LIGHT GREEN/PURPLE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
STARTER DARK GREEN (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
STARTER 2 N/A
IGNITION 1 WHITE/YELLOW or RED/LIGHT GREEN (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
IGNITION 2 RED/BLACK (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
IGNITION 3 N/A
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 1 GRAY/YELLOW (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 2 DARK BLUE/LIGHT GREEN (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

Or I use the radio circuit.

R with Y on my 05 .
Have you tested the tester (meter)?
Make sure you have a good ground for the meter.

Edit:

ooppss just reread my instructions from ITP. here's the link.

6. Using Figures 7, 8 & 9 as a guide, locate a 12v+ power source for the gauges.
• Even though we have included an inline fuse in the wiring of our Gauge Kit, we
like to use the factory fused “Customer Access” wire when it’s available. This
wire will be located to the right of the bulkhead opening, under the “Cubby Hole”
in the dash. The “Customer Access” wire should be WHITE W/LIGHT BLUE
TRACE.
• If you would like, you can also use the HEAVY RED W/BLACK TRACE wire
coming from the ignition switch bundle at the base of the steering column.

ReAx are the wires you are talking about the ones going in the white "box" right under the steering column or the wires coming down the column that are in a yellow sleeve?

Thanks

The ones in the yellow sleeve are the key sense and airbag. Don't mess around with those unless you need too. The wire colors I listed were for the ignition switch.
