rusty truck

i have a 2000 excursion, i have had it since it was a year old, got from my old boss he did plow with it for 1 year and it didnt snow a lot that season , anyway since i owned the truck i always washed and waxed it often, also always rinsed the under carridge after ever snow storm when i drove it ,lately iv noticed alot of rust on the running board supports, and floor , trying to keep on top of it has been a chore, ive already replaced a rear brake line from rust, i know i live in the rust belt but my gmc plow truck which i hardly wash doesnt have no where near this amount of rust, i cant complain to much i got the ex with 49000 and only paid 22000 so i got my moneys worth, today my oil pan started to leak , so knowing i cant chang it without pulling the motor i cleaned it sanded it with a flappy disc wheel and jb welded it had to change oil anyway, also roof rust .rear hinge rust and some of the steel lines on the engine have rust on themill be busy this spring getting the rust taken care of as well as the oilpan replaced ,balljoints again and rear pinoin seal again BUT I LOVE THIS TRUCK AND WILL KEEP IT TILLIT RUSTS AWAY

Is there such a thing as washing a vehicle too much...?

Especially in the winter when the salt is sitting there and could get pushed further into cracks and crevises with the pressure wash.
