Reason: need responce
I only went in for a calibration update in 2006, the Dealer said if I am not having problems with cold start not to re-flash it with the heat induction. The dealer has admitted to damaging the FICM with the latest flashes, so be careful and wait.
I have 45k on my 06. At 26k (1 1/2 years ago) I paid for the heat induction flash because I wanted to avoid the cold start issues from stiction. I do not have any injector or FICM issues.
I personally do not believe the flash will cause a problem unless you have an under performing charging system or weak batteries.
BTW - I do believe that if you run a tuner, you MUST return it to stock before the flash. I also believe that some shops did not properly "complete" the software upgrade process and this is the cause of many of the problems encountered.
thanks for the info , dealer admitted that they had pblms with reflashes in the past but ford has fixed the pbms?? i hope , have to take it in for sure as inj press sensor in now throwing a code on the scanner. when it rains it pours.
