Guys, have you ever gone to the bottom of the main forum and seen the people on here? We have 590 users and 1344 guest on here right now. I don't understand why someone would be a guest when all you have to do is register to become a member. I hope you guest guys/gals will go ahead and become a member on here so we can meet all of you.
Sometimes I am guilty of logging into someone elses computer, currupting it with FTE, and not logging in because I forget, atleast untill I decided I was going to post, since that is required. But then again, I always sign myself in permanently on that computer.
Probably a lot of chebbie and dodge owners hanging out with envy and are afraid to show themselves.
I occasionally lurk on some other forums to get information on the old yota daily driver, but don't want to join as it is very occasional. Now, here at FTE it is an addiction.
How is a guest counted? Surfing FTE without logging in? I surf/search all the time and don't log in. I have my browser to delete cookies/etc when i close my browser and i am sure other folks do that as well. Plus i think these folks are looking for a quick answer to there truck problem and they found this site searching google, like i did. They don't want to stick around because they got there problem fixed. Plus some folks just don't like signing up for stuff. It took me some time to commit to that register button. And i did once I found out that this place is better than any service manual and the folks are truly assume and helpful with anything.
If I'm cruising the FTE site, I'm logged in but I have the luxury of not needing to use public computers both here at home and at work. Well said Rick.
Right Tim,
Bots show up as guests (at least on my board running the same software).
It is unbelievable how many crawlers will be on at one time. I would not hesitate to guess 100 or more. Just think of how many search engines are out there, the more you have indexing the site, the better hits with an internet search. Each engine can send a virtual army of bots to a site.
And yes, I'm sure there are a bunch of "live" guests...
